Lancaster Education Foundation Announces Executive Director
The Lancaster Education Foundation (LEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul E. Richer II to the position of Executive Director. The appointment occurred at the regular meeting of the board on January 26, 2015.  Over the previous six months, Paul has served as the Interim Executive Director of the Foundation.   He is a graduate of the McCaskey Class of 1978.

Paul comes to the foundation with extensive experience in the fields of business and education.  After graduating from F & M in 1982, Paul worked in the field of building materials in sales, computer systems, and management.  Between 1998 and 2014, he served as coordinator of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) Program at McCaskey. Last year, McCaskey High School was named one of the top (20) high schools in the Pennsylvania and among the top 10% in the nation by the Washington Post.  This designation was based on the number of students taking IB and AP tests in May 2013.

As Executive Director of the LEF, Paul will guide the foundation to fulfill its mission to support the students and teachers of the School District of Lancaster (SDoL) in their pursuit of excellence in urban education.  The signature foundation programs include expansion and administration of scholarships to McCaskey graduates, coordination of the Adopt an SDoL Classroom program, and implementation of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.  LEF also works with SDoL to identify partners and leverage funding to support specific programs within the district.  In last 3 years, LEF has contributed over $500,000 in support of SDoL and its students.
